XP-Pen Launches it’s first 4K Resolution Pen Display – Artist Pro 16TP

XP-Pen launched their first 4K-capable graphics tablet – The Artist Pro 16TP. XP-Pen is very well renowned in the digital artist and content space as one of the best graphics tablet makers currently available.

The tablet display will cater to the need of digital artists looking for an affordable 4K pen display tablet. It is also expected to go against the likes of Wacom, Huion, etc.

With the XP-Pen Artist Pro 16TP, the maker partnered with famed artist Shan Jiang for a campaign. The campaign’s tagline is “Dream. Brave. True.”

The graphic display comes with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K) for crisp clarity while making digital arts. The device enables the artist to draw on the screen and see the real-time rendering on the display, unlike cheaper graphics tablets with no display on offer (with just a digitizing tablet). The 15.6-inch panel also supports 10-point multi-touch for gestures like pinch to zoom, zoom out, and rotate.

The IPS panel also comes with good color accuracy. The display boasts 124% sRGB, 92% Adobe RGB color gamut as well as 88% NTSC coverage. These specifications of the IPS LCD make it perfect for digital artist’s work like poster making, animation, comic-creation, CAD, illustrations, as well as 3D modeling.

Artist Pro 16TP is priced at $899.99 but is available for $764.99 (15% Discount) now.

Furthermore, the display is also laminated which means that the glass and the panel are fused to remove parallax. This boosts the immersion while using the stylus.

The device does not come with many dedicated buttons on the body, so some settings and feature sets need to be accessed from within the UI via the touch display.

Furthermore, the device does not have any kick-stand or tilt support to aid the digital artist in creating content. Third-party solutions will need to be bought for mitigating this.

The Stylus

The XP-Pen Artist Pro 16TP comes with a battery-free stylus with 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity and up to 60 degrees of tilt support. This makes illustrating content extremely convenient and time-efficient with fewer errors.

Furthermore, the stylus comes with an eraser(sensor) at the end which offers the seamless functionality of erasing an error without having to do it manually in the display.

Due to its battery-free design, the carrying case of the stylus is simple with no extra charging gimmick. The stylus also comes with nine nibs of assorted sizes.

Other features

The device comes with two USB-C slots, which are perfect for powering the tablet and connecting the device to the source computer, at any given time.

Furthermore, the device also comes with a security lock, however, whether it is a Kensington lock is unknown at the moment.

The display supports both Windows and Mac and is compatible with Adobe software like Photoshop and Illustrator, GIMP, Krita, Blender 3D, CorelDraw, CLO, etc.

The graphics display requires a power supply of DC 12V and 1.5A for powering it.
