Amazon launched its biggest tablet, The Fire Max 11, with an 11-inch (2000 X 1200 pixels) display. Priced from $229.99, this tablet will compete against the cheapest 10.9-inch iPad and the newly launched Pixel tab. With the Fire Max 11, Amazon has packed some interesting features so that it can be an entertainment, gaming, and productivity tablet.
Display and Build
The tablet has a sleek design with an aluminum build compared to previous generations, which were made of a plastic frame.
Amazon claims that the tablet comes in 55% recycled aluminum, 34% post-consumer recycled plastics, and 100% recycled packaging. The Fire Max 11 measures 259.1mm x 163.7mm x 7.50mm and weighs just over a pound (480g).
As for the display, it has the biggest display size the Fire tablet lineup has ever seen. At a stunning 11-inch screen with 2000×1200 resolution and a 5:3 aspect ratio and is also certified for low blue light emission.
The strengthened glass surface offers additional security. Amazon claims it to be three times as durable as the iPad 10.9″ (10th generation). It has crisp clarity and vivid colors, allowing users to stream movies and TV shows.
Amazon Fire Max 11 Specifications and Battery
Apart from streaming shows, the Fire Max 11 comes with a 2.2 GHz MediaTek MT8188J octa-core processor coupled with 4GB RAM, which is also suitable for gaming sessions. If you are a Prime member, you will get access to popular games like Fortnite via Amazon Luna cloud gaming service.
The tablet ships with Android 11-based Fire OS 9 out-of-the-box and is equipped with 8-megapixel front and rear cameras with support for 1080p video recording. The tablet has up to 128GB of onboard storage and can be expanded (up to 1TB) via a MicroSD card.
The tablet also supports Wi-Fi 6 and dual-band Wi-Fi for faster internet connectivity. Other features include Bluetooth 5.3 and comes with a USB Type-C port.
Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication. Amazon claims 14 hours of battery life with mixed usage in it. The tablet supports charging up to 15W and can fully charge in 4.2 hours in ideal condition.

It comes with useful software features such as split-screen mode and many more. Apart from all the features the tablet has, users can also get the optional magnetic Keyboard case that features customizable shortcut keys and a smooth trackpad.
You can also use the Made for Amazon Stylus pen to draw, take notes, and markup documents. It also has support for the USI2.0 stylus protocol. The tablet has on-device handwriting recognition, making switching between writing and typing easy.

The Fire Max 11 is available for pre-order now, starting at $229.99 for the 64 GB version and $279.99 for the 128 GB version, and it only comes in a single Gray color option.
