It’s safe to say that the advent of 5G devices has begun and it won’t be long before they take over the digital market. Following Samsung’s 5G tablet, Huawei has recently introduced its own range of 5G devices including key ones such as the Mate Xs and MatePad Pro 5G. Having hosted a virtual launch in Barcelona Spain, the Huawei Business Group announced that these products are completely capable of boosting its popular all-scenario ecosystem.
The Huawei Mate Xs is basically an advanced version of its previous foldable iteration – Mate X, which launched last year – and features cutting-edge hardware and new-age technology. On the other hand, the MatePad Pro 5G becomes Huawei’s flagship tablet that offers the electronics company’s premium all-scenario experience to satisfy consumers. Here’s everything you need to know about both these products.
Huawei Mate Xs
Powered by Huawei’s most advanced chipset yet, the Kirin 990 5G, the foldable device’s SoC (system on a chip) includes an octa-core (2 x Cortex-A76 Based 2.86 GHz + 2 x Cortex-A76 Based 2.36 GHz + 4 x Cortex-A55 Based 1.95 GHz) CPU.
All of these function at a super accelerated speed of 2.86 GHz. The device with its niche hardware design has an 8-inch foldable full-view display for an enhanced viewing experience.
The chipset also comes with an integrated 5G modem for faster delivery and performance, more efficient 5G data connectivity and lesser heat output. The foldable device supports 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G NSA (Non-stand alone) and SA (stand alone).
The foldable device also has the most powerful GPU among all Huawei handsets, the 16-core Mali-G76 GPU, which handles the graphics processing of the smartphone. Additionally, there’s a separate NPU (Neural Processing Unit) that supports all AI (Artificial Intelligence) demands. The entire 5G spectrum is supported by the SoC. You can also travel at leisure with the foldable device’s 5G + 4G Dual SIM Dual Standby feature.
Huawei MatePad Pro 5G
At par with Huawei’s all-scenario ecosystem with seamless AI life strategy, the Huawei MatePad Pro 5G makes its way to the top of the company’s latest launches. To enhance Huawei’s constant commitment toward a smart ecosystem, the tablet is designed to sync with Huawei handsets, wearables and other devices. This gives a seamless multi-device experience to Huawei users and the technology forms a key part of the Multi-screen Collaboration feature. Once the two devices – tablet and smartphone – are connected, users can navigate and control both of them via the tablet’s display.
The MatePad Pro 5G comes with a 10.8-inch HD display and supports a cinema-grade color gamut, precisely of DCI-P3. Its extremely thin and sleek bezel design gives it the world’s highest tablet screen-to-body ratio, at 90 percent. The premium chipset in the foldable smartphone is present in the tablet too – the Kirin 990 5G SoC, which supports splendid 5G data connectivity.
