We’ve seen new Apple iPad Air and iPad Pro launched in the year 2020 and 2021 respectively. And as we speculated, the rumors are going around that Apple will unveil a new tablet in its iPad Mini series this fall. We can see it hitting the market along with iPhone 13.

The last tablet launched in the series was Apple iPad Mini 5 in 2019.

The new tablet is likely to be named iPad Mini 6 as the successor of the iPad Mini 5. Let’s see what information leakers have on iPad Mini 6.

It’s been speculated to be redesigned to have a quite better iPad Mini than its predecessor.

A tipster from China has revealed that Apple’s A14 Bionic chip will power the new iPad Mini 6. The previous version of the iPad Mini was powered by A12 Bionic.

Sure, it’s not as powerful as Apple’s M1 chip but the A14 chip will be sufficient enough to run apps seamlessly and provide optimum performance. This was speculated earlier as Apple is known for using the latest generation processors in their upcoming devices.

The leak offers the confirmed news about some other specs and features including a Type C port for charging and connecting to a PC. It is supposed to have dual speakers and a side-mounted Touch ID sensor near or over the home button.

In addition to that, the leak also specified the dimensions of the iPad Mini 6 as 206 mm x 138 mm x 6.1 mm. It is said to have a larger 8.4-inch screen compared to the 7.9-inch display of the iPad Mini 5. The refresh rate will be 60 Hz for a smoother and flicker-free screen to work on.

The new iPad Mini 6 will be available in three color options: Black, Gold, and Silver. We will have more clarity on color options after the official teasers and announcements.

The rendered images of the product leaked by Apple designers also hinted at its compact design. It will have a single lens rear camera for photography and a thick uniform bezel design.

The design also indicates a magnetically attachable groove for Apple Pencil. iPad Mini 6 is speculated to support Apple Pencil 3. Once you attach the Apple Pencil to the iPad Mini 6 it will enable wireless charging.

Apart from that, the rendered image also hints at the USB type C port will be used for charging and eliminate its flagship lightning port. Well, the lesser the ports, the better is its ruggedness and durability.

Of course, it will run on the iPad operating system. We are speculating that the iPad Mini 6 will be available in three different storage capacities of 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB.

It should come with a 3.5 mm headphone jack. What’s special about the iPad Mini series is its affordability. The tablet will likely avoid special features like LiDAR scanner and other unnecessary sensors to maintain the price point.

We are predicting the cost of the Apple iPad Mini 6 to be somewhere between 350 USD to 399 USD. If the price falls in this range, Apple will be able to create a booming sale of their new tablet for sure.
